Fire Fighter T Shirts Show Pride, Strength, and Support for the Heroes of our Nation

It's important that we all wear our fire fighter t shirts once in a while as a tribute to your immense pride in these heroes of our nation, .  After all, where would we be without these brave and dedicated individuals who risk their own lives, to save ours when we need it most? 

How comfortable would you feel in your own home if you didn’t have someone to call, to rescue you, your loved ones, and all of the things that you hold dear, from a hungry, burning flame that would rapidly take it all away if it could.

Fire fighter t shirts demonstrate your respect for the importance of the “first water,” a term that goes all the way back to the 1800’s, when fire departments were actually in competition with one another.

At that time, well before fire fighter t shirts, there weren’t many regulations that actually governed the operations of the different fire departments.  If two different departments were located in the same area, the department that would be paid for the work would be the one who would arrive first on the scene, while the second to arrive wouldn’t receive anything.  Arriving first would therefore be a matter of not only money, but also a great deal of pride, since they weren’t always able to be paid for their work. 

The first department to arrive would therefore claim “first water,” getting credit for their work.  In fact, it was so important, that many departments even hired children to run to the foot of the fire to throw the first bucket of water onto the flames, therefore claiming first water for the department.  While the child’s efforts wouldn’t do much for the fighting of the fire, it would earn “first water” for the department, giving them the credit and the pay.

So today, by wearing your fire fighters t shirts, you’ll be showing your respect for the evolution of our spectacular fire department, from the dispatch system, to the fast arrival on scene, and the fighting of the fire from first water, to the moment that the last spark is extinguished.

So if you don’t have fire fighter t shirts, now’s the time to go out and get some, to show that you understand and respect this noble group of people.  And if you do already have fire fighter t shirts, you should get more!  Either way, wearing your fire fighter t shirts with pride will spread the word that America ’s fire fighters are courageous heroes in our nation, and you appreciate everything that they do.  You’ll find that you’ll see more and more people with fire fighter t shirts, and that when you’re seen in your fire fighter t shirts, people will smile more at you, and share your sentiments.
